Splitting large armor STLs for your printer

A chest plate rarely fits a 220 mm bed. Splitting it well saves hours of sanding.

Check the size first

Set your printer profile; the Studio flags parts that exceed the build volume in any orientation.

Cut where it hides

Place cuts along existing panel lines or under straps. Suggested cut positions are a starting point.

Add alignment pins

Pins and matching sockets with clearance make glue-ups line up. Every part is checked to be watertight before the ZIP download.

Every fit is an estimate. Always verify with a tape measure and a test print or test cut before printing the full piece.
