How to resize STL files for cosplay armor

Scaling in a slicer works for one print. Resizing the file itself keeps every piece consistent.

Check the file's real units

Many armor files are modelled in millimetres, some in inches or centimetres. A file that looks 25 mm wide is probably in inches. Set the unit before you scale.

Scale per axis

Unlock proportions to make a chest wider without making it taller. Every vertex is rescaled, so the exported STL/OBJ is a new printable file.

Check it fits your printer

The Studio compares the result with your printer's build volume and can split oversized parts.

Every fit is an estimate. Always verify with a tape measure and a test print or test cut before printing the full piece.
